The song "Lumiar" by Beto Guedes: the track that made the village famous

Many people know the word Lumiar before the place, because of a Clube da Esquina era song. Wikipedia notes it made the district known nationally as a destination.

What Lumiar means

In old Portuguese "lumiar" is a verb: to light up, to give light. That is why the word shows up elsewhere, such as the Lumiar neighbourhood in Lisbon and Paço do Lumiar municipality in Maranhão, neither related to this district.
