The bandstand as a stage
The bandstand hosts cultural performances through the year. For the district's 137th anniversary on October 17 and 18, 2026, Nova Friburgo's culture department staged two days of free shows from 2 pm, with acts such as Ismael Carvalho, Zé Zen, Bigode Serrano and As Fulanas.
Architecture and history
Descubra Nova Friburgo notes that the village's buildings and customs carry a strong imprint of Swiss and German immigrants, in architecture that mixes old and new. Nova Friburgo itself grew from Swiss settlement in the 19th century.
